Our Story
Honoring a Legacy
Over the past 30 years Harry and Shannon Clack established Advanced Transmission Center as the "go to" transmission shop in Lafayette. I was blessed to be a long time friend of Harry’s and his mentor Ron Bailey. When Harry confided in me that he and Shannon wanted to move to Lake Granby, Colorado to operate their marina and that they were considering selling ATC, I didn’t hesitate and asked if he would consider selling to Kim and me.
Harry knew me from the Baton Rouge automotive dealership world back in the 70’s and 80’s. Harry was most interested in ensuring that the business continued, the reputation was honored, and that “his guys had a place to work”. Harry and Shannon spent months teaching Kim, me, and Glen Lancon (ATC’s operations manager) the secrets of their success. They also blessed us with an expert staff of mechanics and builders, providing the backbone of the business. The Clacks may not be physically present at ATC, but you can see their influence in everything we do.

Our team is made up of experienced professionals who are dedicated to providing exceptional service. Glen Lancon is our Operations Manager. He has over 30 years experience in the automotive service industry. Charles Hebert is our Master Builder, the best in the business. Makale Hebert and Braden are the "Techs" - the guys that pull and install units each day.

Warranty
ATC REBUILT TRANSMISSION WARRANTY
ATC (Consumer) Warranty – 3 years or 36,000 miles, whichever occurs first. Warranty includes parts, fluids, labor and towing within 50 miles. All warranty work must be performed by ATC. This warranty is attached to the VIN at the original date of service and is transferable to future vehicle owners.
ATC (Commercial) Warranty – 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever occurs first. Warranty includes parts, fluids, labor and towing within 50 miles. All warranty work must be performed by ATC. This warranty is attached to the VIN at the original date of service and is transferable to future vehicle owners.

NISSAN REBUILT TRANSMISSION WARRANTY
NISSAN Warranty - 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever occurs first. Warranty does not include fluids, labor or towing. NISSAN requires that, in the event a transmission is suspected to be defective, the vehicle must be brought to a NISSAN dealer and the dealer will check the transmission. If defective, NISSAN will only provide a replacement transmission. Customer will be responsible for fluids, labor and towing.
GM REBUILT TRANSMISSION WARRANTY
GM Warranty – 3 years or 36,000 miles, whichever occurs first. Warranty does not include other parts, fluids, labor or towing. GM requires that, in the event a transmission is suspected to be defective, the vehicle must be brought to a GM dealer and the dealer will check the transmission. If defective, GM will only provide a replacement transmission. Customer will be responsible for fluids, labor and towing.
ETE REBUILT TRANSMISSION WARRANTY
ETE Warranty – 3 years unlimited mileage. Warranty does not include fluids or towing. Warranty includes a portion but not all of the labor costs. If defective, ETE will provide a replacement transmission and will pay a portion (about 1/3) of the labor cost. Customer will be responsible for fluids and 2/3 of the labor costs and towing.
JASPER REBUILT TRANSMISSION WARRANTY
JASPER Warranty – 3 years or 100,000 miles, whichever occurs first. Warranty does not include fluids or towing. Warranty includes a portion but not all of the labor costs. If defective, JASPER will provide a replacement transmission and will pay a portion (about 1/3) of the labor cost. Customer will be responsible for fluids and 2/3 of the labor costs and towing.
