The right way to rebuild a transmission
This is how we do it - The transmission is removed from the vehicle and completely disassembled. All components (valve body, shafts, gears, shells, basket, and clutches) are taken out of the case and examined for wear or defects. Each part is thoroughly cleaned. Worn or defective components are replaced with high-quality replacements, and in many instances, updated and improved parts are installed. Pistons are air checked or replaced (i.e., molded pistons) where applicable. The valve body is either replaced, disassembled, cleaned, honed, or rebuilt with new components from Sonnax, as necessary. All gaskets and seals are replaced. A new torque converter from Precision of New Hampton is installed. We also check the transmission cooler and cooler lines for leaks and perform a hot flush to remove metal shavings and clutch debris. After reassembly, the transmission is reinstalled. Rebuilding is handled by the best rebuilder in S. Louisiana, an expert with over 30 years of experience. If needed, reprogramming the transmission control module is performed, and then the vehicle undergoes a test drive to ensure the job is completed. Additionally, we repair differential and transfer cases with the same attention to detail. We also offer offer maintenance services like a transmission pan drop, filter change and fluid refill service. If you have ATC perform major transmission, differential or transfer case repair on your foreign and domestic car or and truck, we will credit your repair order with the cost of towing your vehicle to ATC, up to $350.
Warranty
ATC REBUILT TRANSMISSION WARRANTY
ATC Standard Consumer Warranty – 3 years or 36,000 miles, whichever occurs first. The Platinum Consumer Warranty - 3 years or 75,000 miles, whichever occurs first, is also available for an additional charge. This warranty covers parts, fluids, labor, and towing within 50 miles, ensuring comprehensive support for your vehicle. All warranty work must be performed by ATC, and this warranty is linked to the VIN at the original date of service, making it transferable to future vehicle owners.
ATC Standard Commercial Warranty – 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever occurs first. The Platinum Commercial Warranty - 2 years or 24,000 miles, whichever occurs first, is also available for an additional charge. Just like the consumer warranty, it includes parts, fluids, labor, and towing within 50 miles. All warranty work must be performed by ATC. This warranty is also attached to the VIN at the original date of service and is transferable to future vehicle owners.
